Christmas Cheer was in abundance on 5th December when Innsworth Lodge and Chapter with their ladies and guests gathered together in the spirit of the festive season to enjoy a hearty Christmas Party. The Gloucester Masonic Hall was given a festive makeover to provide the right setting for a superb Turkey dinner with all the trimmings, followed by generous portions of Christmas pud.

Dinner over and with everyone now in good voice, the scene was then set for our rendition of traditional Christmas carols which to our surprise included new twist on The Twelve Days of Christmas. With separate parts being sung by WM and his Wardens then Provincial Officers, Table Columns, Royal Arch Masons and Army versus RAF etc, it took a bit of organising to get right but the inevitable cacophony of sound did give way to more harmonious melodies before the carol ended! Of course, no Masonic function is complete without a raffle and our raised £256 for the Gloucestershire Nightstop, a local charity providing support to homeless young people at its premises in Gloucester.

Our thanks for a superb evening go to Bro David Wood, who organised the party; WBro Bill Beedie for the raffle and our ladies Nadine, Sylvia and Sue for their excellent work in making the table decorations and plate favours.
